Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Contract Length

This position offers the opportunity for contracts of 13 weeks or 20+ weeks, with a hard stop on February 27, 2027, to support staffing through the holiday season.

Shift Details

  • Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
  • Call Requirement: No call
  • Float Requirement: No float required

Patient Care Ratios

  • Non-Critical: 3:1 (4:1 during high call-out periods)
  • Critical Patients: 2:1
  • Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1

Required Skills and Certifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an ER setting
  • IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation skills
  • Certifications Required: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, BLS

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • ENPC certification
  • Experience in trauma care

Unit Information

This Adult Emergency Department serves approximately 170 patient visits per day, with 53 rooms/beds available. The unit operates with systems including PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR.

Orientation

All new hires will undergo orientation lasting 36 to 48 hours to ensure readiness for the work environment.

Scrubs

Scrubs are navy blue in color.

Successful candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Note that block scheduling is not available for this position.
