Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Critical Care Float Pool – Upstate New York

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; Float pool position with flexibility to support multiple units throughout the facility

Highlights:

• Float pool position supporting Critical Care, ICU, IMCU, Emergency Department (holds), and Medical-Surgical units
• 42-bed critical care environment with diverse case mix including neuro/medical, cardiothoracic, surgical, and trauma patients
• Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation and patient care coordination
• Exposure to specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM protocols
• Experience with complex diagnoses: strokes, sepsis, cardiogenic shock, respiratory failure, post-STEMI care, and trauma
• Navy blue scrubs; block scheduling considered when operationally feasible

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license (must be active at time of application)
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Previous travel or multi-facility nursing experience required
• NURSYS report and license verification for all active RN licenses
• Willingness to float across multiple units, including higher patient ratios (up to 6-7 patients on Medical-Surgical assignments)
• Time-off requests must be submitted at time of application
