Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring ICU experience, EVD/craniotomy management, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Neuro ICU setting caring for ICU and IMC patient populations
• Day and night shifts available, 3x12 hours (0700-1930 or 1900-0730), with every other weekend and some holidays required
• 4x12 schedules and Friday-Sunday block schedules will be accepted
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (WI or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, AHA only
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Prior ICU experience required, neurosurgery experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required, specifically with craniotomy and EVD management
• Epic EMR experience required, within the past 12 months preferred
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Proficiency required in skills such as arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and EVD/ICP monitoring
• Experience with post-craniotomy, post-neurosurgery, and traumatic brain/spinal cord injury management required

• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment
• Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as the state's top hospital
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
