Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• ICU experience required; Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for ICU and IMC patient populations
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry assessment prior to start
• Experience with ICP monitoring, EVDs, or ventriculostomy management required
• Familiarity with neurocritical care procedures and complex drips preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult neuroscience critical care patients
• Monitor and manage patients with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, hemorrhagic conditions, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgical needs
• Support patients recovering from brain tumor resections, aneurysm clipping/coiling, thrombectomy, and lysis procedures
• Manage advanced neurocritical care therapies, including hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, EVDs, and lumbar drains
• Administer and titrate vasoactive, sedation, and cardiac infusions as clinically indicated
• Care for ventilated patients and support respiratory interventions as needed
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Float as needed within appropriate critical care areas
• Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on safe, expert-level care
