Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 1 year of acute care experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• MS/Tele unit in a teaching hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Floating required within OSU facilities

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in respiratory care including chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and Rapid Response/Code team response
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and neurological/psychiatric care including substance withdrawal
• PCU experience not required
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a Charge RN; no coworker references accepted

• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignment
• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict compliance timelines
