Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, Level 1 Trauma Center, is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in a large hospital setting. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical oncology and medical surgical patients in a 47-bed department.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides care for medical surgical patients, including surgical oncology patients, within a 47-bed department. Ensures proper documentation and collaboration with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Required Qualifications: Active ND or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum 2 years recent Medical Surgical experience working in a hospital with at least 200 beds, experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, minimum 36 hours per week, rotating shift times.
  • Additional Information: Must have recent experience in a level 2 or higher trauma center, with preference for surgical oncology experience. Must be able to badge in and out at the facility, wear navy blue scrubs, and work across various units/departments. Candidates should be able to provide good interview times and note if they have previously worked for the organization with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
