Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes spinal neuro trauma, surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic and paraplegic cases
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred schedule type
• EPIC EMR required
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical specialty
• Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
• Background in high-volume hospitals managing diverse and severe cases required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current certification cards and Nursys license verification required for consideration
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Skills checklist matching the specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care to complex trauma and surgical patients in a high-acuity setting
• No RTO permitted during the contract period
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates limited to experience in small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
