Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a fast-paced admission unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• 10-bed rapid admission unit for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Faster patient turnover than a typical medical-surgical unit
• 5:1 patient ratio
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in med/surg-tele specialty required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently required

Additional Information

• Work in a Level 1 trauma center handling high-acuity, complex, and diverse cases
• Mandatory holiday coverage: Thanksgiving Day or the day after, plus either Christmas Eve/Christmas Day or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
