Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit (9A) in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Common diagnoses include general medical/surgical cases and overflow oncology patients
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical specialty
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience in high-volume, high-pressure trauma environments required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, and complex cases
• Resume/work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Current certification cards and skills checklist matching specialty required

Additional Information

• Care for medically and surgically complex patients in a high-volume, inner-city trauma hospital setting
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
