Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and high-acuity trauma background.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit caring for urology, gyn, ortho, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT, and vascular patients
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling not approved by most units

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience in high-pressure, high-volume, large-scale trauma environments required
• Background managing critical, fast-paced situations required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
• Certification card and Nursys license verification required for consideration
• Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg nursing care in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• No RTO allowed during contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
