Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS/ACLS and prior trauma experience.

Details

• Float pool role covering all Med/Surg units as needed within a Level 1 trauma center
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Deferred scheduling with no block scheduling approved by most units
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA state or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Prior experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven success managing complex, fast-paced, and critical trauma cases required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration
• Skills checklist, certification cards, and Nursys license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care while floating across all med surg units as needed
• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city trauma environment handling complex and challenging cases
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
