Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry role in a high-acuity cardiac unit, requiring a GA or compact license and prior trauma center experience.

Details

• Hybrid unit combining stepdown/PCU/IMCU and telemetry med-surg patients
• 28-bed PCU/IMCU with a cardiac patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain patients
• Administers cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
• May float to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower acuity patients
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is typically not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similarly sized facility required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma center environments required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced situations
