Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated RN specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry for a travel assignment in Macon, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for patients with a variety of acute or chronic diseases, including cardiac and post-surgical conditions. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Teaching Hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center

- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation required: 5-6 weekend shifts out of every 12 shifts in a 6-week cycle

- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2400 (negotiable)
- Floating: Required to float to all Med/Tele units as needed
- Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Manage post-cath care and TR bands
- Administer and titrate medications including insulin, heparin, and amiodarone
- Provide education to patients and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team
- Assist with discharge planning
- Perform assessments and maintain time management skills
Qualifications
Required:
- BLS certification
- 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding
- Proficient tele skills and drip management
- Strong trach care, chest tube management, and IV skills
Preferred:
- ACLS certification
- Certification in MedSurg
