Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated RN for the MedSurg/Tele unit, offering an engaging opportunity in a high-acuity environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in managing acute or chronic diseases, post-op surgeries, and conditions commonly seen in a med-surg population. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic team setting within a Level 1 Trauma and Teaching Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with acute or chronic diseases and post-operative conditions
  • Manage patient care with co-morbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, infections
  • Participate in care coordination and discharge planning
  • Perform IV insertion, central line management, and cardiac monitoring
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
  • Valid BLS certification
  • BCR certification, must pass an EKG competency exam
  • Proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, and IV skills
  • Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
  • Medical-Surgical nursing certification
