**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Travel Med-Surg RN in the Surgical Specialty Unit!** - **Start Date:** 12/14 - **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours preferred - **Location:** Overland Park, KS **Unit Highlights:** - **Surgical Specialty Unit (SSU)** with 20 private beds - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 for total patient care; 5:1 with a patient care tech - **Staffing:** Supportive team environment with 4-5 nurses and 1 tech per shift - **Cutting-edge Equipment:** Alaris IV Pumps, CADD epidural, telemetry, EKG, and more - **Documentation System:** Medi tech **Scheduling Details:** - Every 3rd weekend - Two Mondays and Fridays per 4-week period - Floating policy to similar units (med/surg/telemetry) **Required Skills and Experience:** - **Essential:** Med-surg experience - **Advanced Skills:** Post-operative care - **Procedures:** Ostomy management, NGT placement, Foley catheter maintenance, central line management, wound management, and IV starts - **Certifications:** Current BLS certification **Dress Code:** - Royal Blue tops and Black or Royal Blue bottoms **Awards/Recognition:** - 2021 HCA Unit of Distinction for Med-Surg **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
