Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a high-volume maternity unit located in a prominent healthcare organization. This seasonal contract opportunity spans 13 weeks, offering rotating day and night shifts with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires dedicated professionals capable of managing labor and delivery processes efficiently and effectively.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotating day and night shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE, and intermediate fetal monitoring competency. Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with a focus on high-volume units preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Internal monitor placement competency, previous experience in Level IV units, and prior HCA (Healthcare Authority) assignments/employments.
  • Additional Information: The unit is equipped with advanced fetal monitoring technology, and staff are expected to adhere to established protocols and policies, including attendance policies. The team values a positive attitude and team-oriented personality, with a dress code requiring solid blue or grey sweatshirts paired with navy blue scrubs. The unit frequently performs procedures such as spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC.
