Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and experience to provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Location: North Austin, TX
• Unit Type: Labor and Delivery
• Number of Beds: 32
• Staff Count: 150
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Type of Equipment: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, Ultrasound
• EMR: Meditech
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Shift Information

• Shift: Rotating day and night shifts
• Weekends: Alternating weekends
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Required Skills:
  • EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, SVE competency
  • C-Section circulation
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
• Preferred Skills:
  • Internal monitor placement competency
  • Previous experience with HCA assignments
  • Experience in a Level IV unit (high volume unit)

Typical Procedures

The following procedures are regularly performed in the unit:

• Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries (SVD)
• Cerclages
• C-Sections
• Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
