Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry/IMC RN with vent and transplant experience for a night shift assignment requiring a passing score on a telemetry exam.

Details

• Work in IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and IMC Thoracic unit
• Care for telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend and some holidays required
• Floating required as needed across units
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
• Ventilator management and post-transplant care experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation with strict passing criteria
• References not required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team involvement
• Manage ventilated and post-transplant patients as part of daily responsibilities
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Assignment based at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
• Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available
