Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level I Trauma ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma ICU setting with 14 rooms and 16 beds
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (PALS and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I/II Trauma experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in respiratory/thoracic care including BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilator management
• Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Experience with neurological monitoring, including ICP monitoring preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients in a Level I Trauma setting
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not accepted for this position
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, with a maximum of 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
