Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical-Surgical ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical-Surgical ICU setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill medical-surgical ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding modules completed onsite during orientation, averaging 4-6 hours for RNs
• Core onboarding items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
