Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract requiring 1 year of ED experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Emergency Department in a hospital setting with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds
  • Patient ratios of 1:4 ED, 1:5 behavioral health, and 1:3 cardiac/trauma
  • Uses Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
  • EMR system is MEDITECH
  • Shift runs from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
  • CPI certification required for ER units
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
  • MEDITECH experience preferred
  • Trauma experience preferred
  • Prior holding/inpatient experience preferred
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Provide behavioral health de-escalation support as needed
  • Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
  • Must follow all facility policies and guidelines
  • Team includes charge nurses, mid-shift RNs, PCTs, a paramedic, and an LVN on both day and night shifts
  • Ideal candidates are multitaskers, team players, and self-starters
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
