Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with TX or compact RN licensure for a 13-week day/night rotating contract in a high-acuity trauma ED.

Details

  • Emergency Department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds
  • Staffing includes charge nurse plus 11 RNs, mid-shift support, PCTs, a paramedic, and an LVN
  • Patient ratios of 1:4 in ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 in cardiac/trauma
  • Uses Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
  • EMR system is MEDITECH
  • Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating weekends
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Trauma and inpatient holding experience preferred
  • CPI certification preferred
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

  • Navy blue scrubs required for RNs

  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius; no local candidates accepted
