Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior advanced cardiac device therapy experience.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure cases
• Care for high-risk cardiac surgery patients including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, and IABP patients
• Utilizes CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, and CCO monitoring
• Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• May float to MICU, SICU, or Medical/Cardiac Stepdown units as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Preferred experience with cardiac advanced device therapy management including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz catheter management
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting treatment to optimize outcomes
• Administer physician and nursing orders while maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting quality improvement initiatives
