Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least one year of relevant experience.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU within a critical care unit
• Patient population is 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure
• Cares for high-risk cardiac surgery patients including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, and IABP patients
• Utilizes CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, and CCO monitoring
• Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Floating required to MICU, SICU, or Medical/Cardiac Stepdown units as needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• Preferred experience with cardiac advanced device therapy management, including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start

• Administer physician and nursing orders promptly while maintaining regulatory compliance

• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
