As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a key role in developing ADM's Animal Nutrition business across North West and Limpopo. You will manage and grow existing customer relationships, develop new business opportunities and take ownership of the premix and additives portfolio in the region.

This is a hands-on role combining technical customer support, sales development and market growth. You will work closely with customers and our Commercial and CD&D teams to understand their needs, provide practical solutions and turn opportunities into sustainable business growth.

What you will do

Customer support and technical service

• Manage and develop relationships with existing customers across North West and Limpopo.
• Provide day-to-day technical, commercial and order support to customers.
• Review customer requests and orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Support customers with practical nutrition and product-related questions.
• Coordinate order placement and delivery, working closely with relevant internal teams.
• Provide sales information and market feedback to the Commercial team when required.

Sales growth and business development

• Grow ADM's customer base and sales volumes across the region.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the animal nutrition market.
• Develop the sales mix across premix, additives and raw materials, with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth.
• Take ownership of the development of ADM's additives business in the region.
• Build and strengthen ADM's market presence across multiple animal species.
• Develop a strong understanding of the local market, customer needs, competitors and opportunities.

Project and internal coordination

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales information in Salesforce.
• Create and update Salesforce projects and tasks when required.
• Track project progress and ensure actions are followed up.
• Work closely with the CD&D and Commercial teams to ensure customer needs are addressed effectively.
• Provide regular feedback on customer needs, market opportunities and business development activities.

In this role, you will help us to:

• Retain and strengthen our existing customer base in North West and Limpopo.
• Increase premix and additives sales volumes and develop the portfolio in the region.
• Expand ADM's customer and market footprint across multiple species.
• Provide responsive, reliable and technically sound customer support.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute to sustainable sales and margin growth.
• Build a stronger ADM presence in the regional animal nutrition market.

What you bring

• Matric / Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification, ideally a BSc in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in animal science, animal nutrition and/or technical sales.
• Experience in a customer-facing or sales environment, ideally within the animal nutrition or feed industry.
• Good understanding of animal nutrition and the ability to discuss technical topics with customers.
• Strong commercial and sales orientation, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop relationships.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Strong planning and time-management skills, particularly when managing a territory and customer visits.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• You must be based in North West or Limpopo, South Africa.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to use a company-provided vehicle are required.
