    What You’ll Do
    • Own the tax filing deadline calendar: extensions, estimates, and due dates across individual and business returns — and make sure nothing slips
    • Drive client communication through busy season — organizers out, missing documents chased down, engagement letters signed, appointments scheduled
    • Input tax return data from client source documents and prepare straightforward individual returns under review
    • Assemble workpapers and organize client files so preparers and reviewers can move quickly
    • Handle e-filing, Form 8879 collection and tracking, and return assembly and delivery
    • Support 1099 and W-2 season, and assist with payroll and sales tax filings as needed
    • Serve as the firm’s first point of contact — phones, walk-ins, and getting clients to the right person with the right answer
    Must Have
    • Bookkeeping or accounting experience — comfortable with debits and credits and able to read a P&L and balance sheet. This is the skill base the tax and client work is built on.
    • Administrative or front-office experience in a professional office
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented; can own a deadline calendar and keep filings from slipping
    • Working familiarity with QuickBooks and Excel
    • Handles phones and walk-in traffic with warmth and composure, including during busy periods
    • Responsive and dependable through busy season
    • Complete discretion with confidential client and financial information
    Big Plus

    • Prior CPA firm or tax office experience
    • UltraTax CS or other Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite experience
    • Payroll or sales tax filing experience
