Job Description

We are seeking an System Engineer / Design Team Lead (DTL) - Infrastructure Design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure solution design, cloud, networking, and ITSM-driven design processes and a proven ability to lead end-to-end technical design to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients to understand business requirements and review Business Requirements Documents.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements and low-level designs.
• Identify and coordinate with Technology Infrastructure SMEs for design discussions and validation.
• Produce Low Level Designs using the ITSM Service Request Design Console and create High Level Designs using Visio and Adobe.
• Apply reference architecture standards and relevant frameworks to deliver standardized, supportable solutions.
• Identify non-standard products and drive resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
• Partner with the Chief Engineer and Capacity Planner to define hosting targets and sizing for CPU, memory, and storage.
• Document assumptions, issues, risks, and key decisions that affect technical designs and deliverables.
• Capture LLD details including compute, memory, storage type and ownership, backup schedules and retention, file systems, application stack requirements, hosting location, AD OUs, maintenance windows, and required platform software.
• Coordinate closely with Technology Project Managers on status, risks, and escalations throughout the lifecycle.
• Engage Supply Chain Management to obtain hardware quotes when applicable and secure approvals for cost and design.
• Maintain and publish accurate design artifacts to the project repository.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to create end-to-end infrastructure solutions and conceptual designs in MS Visio.
• Knowledge of database technologies and interfaces.
• Understanding of cloud and cloud-based technologies.
• Understanding of network infrastructure including HTTP, TCP, DNS, and load balancers.
• Customer-focused communicator with the ability to influence and work with SMEs and business stakeholders.
• Strong leadership to lead the analyze and design phase and meet committed deliverable dates.
• Ability to articulate solutions to line-of-business partners and technical hosting teams.
• Experience producing HLDs and LLDs within ITSM-driven processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Software developer background to support solution design and integration considerations.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud or AWS solutions.
• Familiarity with PMM/DSES processes and required outputs.
• Exposure to cloud security practices.
