Job Description

We are seeking an Enterprise Communications Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise networking and communications infrastructure and a proven ability to restore service, stabilize environments, and document resolutions in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level on-site and remote diagnostics and support for network and communications incidents impacting health system applications.
• Configure and support routers, switches, load balancers, and communication servers per standards and change procedures.
• Rack, stack, and cable communications hardware, including testing and tracing network cabling.
• Maintain accurate and current system and network documentation.
• Coordinate with service providers and vendors for network and communications services and escalations.
• Operate under general guidance, interpret varied assignments, and make independent decisions on course of action.
• Perform related duties as required in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in network and communications support.
• Proficiency with enterprise networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and load balancing.
• Experience installing, cabling, and testing network hardware in data closets and data centers.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and follow change and incident processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with customer service orientation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in healthcare or other highly available, regulated environments.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination and carrier services for WAN and voice.
