Staff Accountant

We are seeking an entry level staff accountant to support the financial operations of a diverse portfolio of venues, recreation facilities, and event-based operations. This role partners closely with finance leadership and operational teams to ensure accurate financial processes, compliance, and effective support of daily business activities and special events.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Enter and maintain daily cash receipts and financial records.
• 
  
• Assist with procurement activities and purchasing processes.
• 
  
• Support accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and data entry.
• 
  
• Assist with additional projects and responsibilities assigned by finance management.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 
  
• Minimum of three years of experience supporting financial, accounting, or fiscal operations preferred.
• 
  
• Experience working in a multi-departmental or event-driven environment is a plus
• 
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 
  
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
• 
  
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
• 
  
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• 
  
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• 
  
• Experience working within a government, municipal, nonprofit, or similarly regulated environment is beneficial but not required.
• 
  

Location: South Bend, IN
Pay: 65k-70k
