Staff Accountant - Grant Accounting (Sage Intacct Required)

Location: South Bend, IN (100% Onsite)
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys solving puzzles, improving processes, and ensuring financial data is accurate? We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support grant accounting, fund tracking, and financial reporting in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Review, code, and post bank transactions, deposits, credit card activity, and vendor invoices
• 
  
• Allocate transactions to the appropriate GL accounts, grants, departments, locations, and funding sources
• 
  
• Track grant spending and ensure expenses are accurately coded for reporting and compliance purposes
• 
  
• Research discrepancies, gather supporting documentation, and resolve coding questions across departments
• 
  
• Maintain accurate financial records and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Sage Intacct experience required
• 
  
• Experience with Bill.com strongly preferred
• 
  
• Background in grant accounting, fund accounting, or nonprofit accounting preferred
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and SUMIF functions
• 
  
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining exceptional accuracy
•
