    Description

Jeppesen ForeFlight is building a world-class Procurement organization to support our continued growth across the Commercial, Business, Military, and General Aviation sectors. Reporting to the VP of Procurement, the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will lead a team responsible for sourcing strategy and execution across our global purchasing categories, while also building out the operational backbone — processes, systems, and metrics — that allow Procurement to scale. This leader will bring broad, cross-category sourcing expertise and the ability to build and develop a high-performing team, while personally engaging at the negotiating table on our most strategic supplier relationships. SaaS represents a significant and growing share of our spend, and this role will own our approach to SaaS category management, renewal strategy, and vendor governance globally. This leader will also be a key cross-functional partner to Marketing, HR, and other business units, and will work closely with Legal and Privacy/InfoSec to help shape our contracting and review processes as our Procurement function continues to mature.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Sourcing & Team Leadership
    • Lead, manage, and develop a team of sourcing professionals, setting category priorities and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across a global purchasing portfolio
    • Own strategic sourcing outcomes across all purchasing categories globally, ensuring the team's sourcing strategies align with business priorities and cost objectives
    • Personally lead negotiations and executive-level supplier relationships for the organization's most strategic and highest-value contracts
    • Serve as the senior sourcing partner to cross-functional business units, translating their needs into category and sourcing strategy
    • Partner closely with Legal and Privacy/InfoSec throughout the contracting and review process, helping guide and shape those workflows as the broader Procurement function continues to build out
    • Identify and deliver cost-savings and cost-avoidance opportunities across the global spend base
    • Represent Procurement in cross-functional planning and act as a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders

    Sourcing Operations & Scaling
    • Design and stand up sourcing policies, intake processes, and approval workflows as the Procurement function scales
    • Build sourcing playbooks, templates, and negotiation frameworks (RFP templates, supplier scorecards) that create consistency across the team
    • Define the category management framework used to bucket, prioritize, and assign ownership across spend categories
    • Own the sourcing team's use of the procurement tech stack, driving adoption and continuous improvement of the tools that support sourcing execution
    • Build sourcing KPIs and dashboards covering cycle time, savings realized, SaaS renewal compliance, and supplier performance
    • Establish a regular reporting cadence to Procurement leadership on pipeline health and operational metrics
    • Help define team structure and hiring plans as sourcing volume grows, and build onboarding/training so new sourcing hires ramp consistently
    • Develop and maintain a roadmap for maturing sourcing operations over the next 12–18 months

    SaaS Category & Vendor Governance
    • Own the SaaS intake and renewal calendar/tracking process end-to-end, beyond negotiating individual renewals
    • Partner with IT and Finance on software asset management and license utilization to inform renewal and negotiation strategy

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
    • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with global sourcing experience spanning a broad range of purchasing categories
    • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of sourcing or procurement professionals
    • Meaningful experience sourcing and managing SaaS/software contracts, including renewal strategy and lifecycle management at scale
    • Experience designing or improving sourcing processes, policies, and playbooks in a scaling organization
    • Demonstrated experience serving as a senior sourcing partner to cross-functional business units
    • Experience partnering with Legal and/or Privacy/InfoSec teams during contract negotiation and review
    • Strong executive presence and negotiation skills, with a track record of leading high-value supplier relationships
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to operate credibly across technical, legal, executive, and business stakeholders

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MBA or other advanced degree
    • Professional procurement certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP
    • Experience building or scaling a global procurement team in a high-growth organization
    • Coupa or other P2P/ERP system experience
    • Experience with software asset management, license optimization, or SaaS vendor governance
    • Experience building sourcing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences for leadership
    • Experience operating in an organization where procurement, legal, and privacy/infosec processes are still maturing
    • Pilot or aviation enthusiast
