The OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join its Legal team for a six-month contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal to support a high-volume, fast-paced corporate legal environment while working on a wide variety of commercial contracts tied to Travel & Events and Hospitality.
The ideal candidate is organized, highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with tight deadlines, and excited about using AI and emerging technology to work smarter and more efficiently.
What You'll Do- Review, draft, redline, negotiate, and coordinate a variety of commercial contracts, including events, hospitality, technology, and marketing agreements - THIS IS REQUIRED
- Manage a high-volume contract workload of approximately 200250 agreements annually, often with same-day turnaround
- Partner with attorneys, executives, business leaders, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep agreements moving toward execution
- Identify potential contract issues and determine when matters should be escalated to counsel
- Conduct legal and factual research, due diligence, and prepare summaries and reports
- Maintain organized legal files, records, databases, and contract documentation
- Assist with legal operations, process improvements, claims management, and special projects
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Ivo, and Gamma to streamline research, contract review, drafting, analysis, and presentations
What We're Looking For- 8+ years of paralegal experience, preferably within a corporate legal department
- Strong hands-on experience with commercial contracts, including review, drafting, redlining, and negotiation
- Ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong judgment, discretion, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and knowing when to involve counsel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal/contract management technology
- Tech-savvy and interested in using AI tools to improve efficiency
- MUST HAVE STATEFEDERAL COMPLIANCE EXPERIENCE
- Able to work on-site in Houston, 40 hours per week throughout the assignment
