Quality Documentation Specialist (Manufacturing)

Openwork is seeking an experienced Quality Documentation Specialist to join a growing manufacturing team in Houston. This position will support quality documentation, document control, PPAP packages, engineering changes, and manufacturing compliance.

• Prepare, review, and maintain PPAP documentation for customer submissions.
• Manage controlled documents including work instructions, SOPs, inspection plans, engineering drawings, and quality records.
• Maintain document revisions and coordinate ECNs/ECOs.
• Support Quality, Engineering, and Production teams with documentation.
• Assist with internal/external audits and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with company and customer standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve document control processes.

• 3+ years of manufacturing quality, document control, or quality systems experience.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP documentation.
• Experience with ECNs, ECOs, document revisions, SOPs, work instructions, and inspection plans.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, communication, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ERP, or document management systems is a plus.

• Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable working on the warehouse floor and around ongoing production.
• Must be comfortable with loud noise from machinery and equipment.

Pay: $25–$27/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Houston, TX – Navigation Area
