Program Management Administrative Assistant
Norfolk, VA. Contract

Job Description
  • Provide administrative support to the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation, reports, and databases.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, external partners, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Support project managers, superintendents, schedulers, and other team members with administrative tasks.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem?solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including:

  • Ability to maintain accurate and up?to?date records and reports.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a shipyard or maritime industry setting.
  • Experience with project management software (MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.).
  • Familiarity with document management systems.
  • Professional certifications such as:
    • PMP or CAPM (project management)
    • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) (administrative support)
Required Experience
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in project management, business support, or executive assistance.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with multiple competing deadlines.
