Quick Highlights
- A real project coordination role, not a scheduling desk — you own each job from post-production through final install and the last punch-list item
- Your construction knowledge counts here: you’ll read plans and CAD drawings, check site readiness, and line our work up with builders’ construction schedules
- The central link between builders, construction managers, homeowners, production, CAD, and our installation crews
- You lead the install team’s week — crew assignments, weekly team meetings, safety, vehicles, and equipment
- High-end custom work, not high-volume production: premium quartzite, quartz, and granite on the projects other fabricators turn down
- An established company — serving Central Texas since 2003 and an Accredited Natural Stone Company through the Natural Stone Institute
About Alpha Granite
Alpha Granite has been Central Texas’s trusted countertop fabrication and installation company since 2003. As an Accredited Natural Stone Company through the Natural Stone Institute, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and safety. We are not a big-box or high-volume production shop — we specialize in high-end residential and commercial work, including fireplaces, flooring, and wall cladding as well as countertops. Our vision is to be known as the finest creator of luxury surfaces in the region, and our mission is to deliver that work through a responsive, dependable, and highly skilled team.
About the Role
We are hiring an Installation Project Coordinator to take ownership of every project from post-production through final installation and completion of all punch-list items. Putting jobs on a calendar is the smallest part of it. The real work is making sure each job is actually ready before the crew rolls: production is complete, the site is ready and accessible, approvals are in, and the right crew and equipment are assigned.
You will think ahead, spot problems before they reach the customer or the crew, and keep everyone informed — builders, project managers, construction managers, homeowners, and our internal teams. When something changes, people hear it from you first.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate the daily installation schedule across multiple projects
- Track jobs from production through installation and completion, working closely with the Workshop Manager to keep production on schedule
- Coordinate our scope of work with builders’ construction schedules and expectations
- Review upcoming projects to catch scheduling, site-readiness, and installation resource issues early
- Read construction documents and CAD drawings to determine project scope and installation requirements
- Choose the right crew, timing, and installation approach for each job, and make sure installers have the information and resources they need
- Communicate schedules and job readiness with builders, project managers, construction managers, homeowners, and installers
- Visit job sites when needed to review conditions, meet with construction managers, and troubleshoot issues
- Follow up on completed installs promptly, document issues, and schedule return trips or corrective work
- Keep scheduling and job-tracking systems accurate, and move completed projects forward for invoicing
- Lead weekly installer meetings covering upcoming projects, expectations, operational updates, and safety
- Make sure weekly vehicle inspections are completed and maintenance or safety issues are reported promptly
- Maintain accountability for company-issued installation tools, equipment, and materials
What You Bring
Required:
- Construction experience, or a strong working knowledge of residential construction
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and CAD drawings
- Strong scheduling, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Excellent communication by phone, email, and in person — comfortable working directly with builders, construction managers, homeowners, and install crews
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Maps
- Comfortable visiting active construction sites
- Able to work at a computer for extended periods, move around the office and job sites, and bend to access and lift files and equipment
Preferred (a plus, not required):
- Construction scheduling or project coordination experience
- Experience scheduling or dispatching field technicians or installers
- Countertop, stone fabrication, cabinetry, millwork, tile, or related construction experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with job-tracking software such as Moraware
- Outstanding customer service
- College degree
Who Thrives Here
- You ask “is this job truly ready?” before you ask “when can we schedule it?”
- You would rather fix a problem today than explain it to a builder tomorrow
- You follow a project all the way to the finish, not just to install day
- You stay calm and clear with a frustrated customer and direct with a crew when plans change
- You take pride in being the person everyone counts on to know where things stand
