Prep Chef - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Prep Chef with a Major Financial Services Firm located in New York, NY. This is a fully onsite contract opportunity.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Chef to support our client's kitchen team by preparing ingredients and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This is a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth within the kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Assist chefs with basic cooking and food assembly tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Label, store, and rotate ingredients properly to ensure freshness
• Assist with inventory checks and stocking supplies as needed
• Support kitchen team during service as required

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights

Pay range: up to $24 per hour
