Position Summary

The Office Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the apartment community through administrative, financial, and customer service functions. This position serves as a key point of contact for residents, prospective residents, vendors, and the onsite team while ensuring office operations run efficiently.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospective residents, and vendors.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and office correspondence.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries and assist with applications and resident documentation.
  • Enter and track resident service requests.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and timely.
  • Maintain resident files and office records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist with general office administration and support the onsite management team.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ensure the leasing office maintains a professional appearance.
  • Represent the community in a professional manner while adhering to the business casual dress code.

Qualifications

Required

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Previous multifamily apartment or property management experience.
  • Experience with Yardi property management software.
  • Current Michigan Real Estate License preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing to obtain licensure and begin the licensing process after three months of permanent employment.

Work Environment

  • Professional office setting within a multifamily apartment community.
  • Frequent interaction with residents, prospects, vendors, and onsite staff.
  • Standard business hours with occasional flexibility based on community needs.
  • Business casual dress code required.
