We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their skills in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly organized individual who thrives under pressure and has a proven track record in managing complex litigation cases.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in all phases of the litigation process, from investigation and fact-finding through trial preparation and case resolution.
2. Conduct comprehensive case management, including maintaining and organizing case files, managing the discovery process, and coordinating with internal and external legal teams.
3. Review, analyze, and organize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports leveraging your strong legal writing skills.
5. Prepare and electronically file legal documents in federal and state courts, adhering to all procedural requirements.
6. Provide comprehensive legal assistance to attorneys, including preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.
7. Conduct legal research and summarize information for attorneys.
8. Coordinate and manage timelines and deadlines to ensure timely progression of cases.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
2. A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, law, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
3. Proficiency in case management software, document review tools, and electronic filing systems.
4. Exceptional legal writing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
5. Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and the litigation process.
6. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume workload under tight deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research software.
9. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
