About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for an organization in the Twin Cities area. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations while serving as a resource to employees and managers on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR policies. What You'll Do as a Human Resources Generalist:- Support day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and onboarding
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding to create a positive employee experience
- Assist managers with employee relations, performance concerns, policy interpretation, investigations, and employee coaching
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while supporting HR compliance requirements
- Coordinate benefits administration, leaves of absence, accommodations, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work activities
- Support performance management, employee engagement, training, and HR process improvement initiatives
What You Need to Bring to the Human Resources Generalist Role:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist, Recruiter, HR Coordinator, or related HR role
- Working knowledge of federal and Minnesota employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to occasionally travel between Minnesota locations; a valid driver’s license and satisfactory completion of a criminal background check are required
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification and experience in manufacturing, nonprofit, social enterprise, or multi-site environments are preferred #metrocareers
