This Human Resources Business Partner position is based on-site in Fresno, CA and supports multiple business units across diverse industries. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, compliance, and workforce planning initiatives. Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders across a multi-site, multi-entity organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to management, partnering closely with business leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, workforce planning, organizational development, and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings strong California employment law knowledge, excellent judgment, and the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the organization. This position offers the opportunity to influence business outcomes while supporting a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Business Partner, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Partnering with managers and business leaders to address employee relations, performance management, and organizational challenges.
Conducting workplace investigations and ensuring appropriate documentation, resolution, and compliance.
Coaching managers on performance concerns, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee development.
Ensuring compliance with California and federal employment laws, including leave administration and accommodation processes.
Supporting ADA accommodations, FMLA, protected leaves, and related employee matters.
Facilitating performance improvement plans and corrective action processes.
Identifying workforce trends, organizational risks, and opportunities while providing recommendations to leadership.
Supporting workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
Delivering and coordinating HR training programs across multiple locations.
Collaborating with HR, payroll, benefits, and talent acquisition teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Building trusted partnerships with leaders while supporting multiple locations and diverse business operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including direct support of business leaders in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, or similar role.
Strong experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, corrective action, and manager coaching.
Working knowledge of California and federal employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, and protected leave regulations.
Experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity organizations preferred.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to partner with leadership to address workforce challenges and organizational needs.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
