HR Specialist

Cincinnati, Ohio

Contract-to-Hire | First Shift

$60,000 - $70,000 Annually

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join their team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has previous experience supporting manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact while building a long-term career with a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily human resources operations including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance
  • Coordinate recruitment activities including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting with hiring efforts
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and HR procedures
  • Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
  • Partner with managers on employee relations matters and workplace concerns
  • Assist with leave administration, workers' compensation, and other HR programs
  • Generate HR reports and maintain confidential personnel information
  • Help support a positive workplace culture and employee engagement efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of human resources experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and best practices
  • Experience with onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and recruiting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
