NIS, now a part of Gallagher, is growing in the South Central region, and we're looking for a driven sales professional to help lead that growth.

 

For more than 55 years, NIS has partnered with brokers serving the public sector, providing innovative employee benefit solutions. As a leading General Agency, we work with top carriers in the public sector marketplace and offer a proprietary Life and Disability trust product that gives brokers unique and competitive solutions for their clients.

How you'll make an impact:

You'll play a key role in accelerating NIS's growth by generating new revenue, expanding strategic partnerships, strengthening client retention, and increasing our market presence across the public sector benefits space. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact while helping shape the future of our Midwest expansion.

  • Drive new business growth and expand NIS's presence throughout the Midwest.
  • Build strong relationships with brokers, agencies, carrier partners, and industry associations.
  • Prospect, develop, and close new employee benefits and insured product opportunities.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and consultative solutions to clients and decision-makers.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting and quoting through negotiations and implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and customized solutions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline, identify cross-selling opportunities, and stay ahead of industry trends.
About you:

Required: Bachelor's degree, 1 year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required OR Bachelor's degree, participation in Gallagher's Sales Internship Program (GSIP), and appropriate insurance licensing required OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience.

Preferred: Professional designation may be preferred, including CEBS, CPCU, CIC or ARM.

Behaviors: Act independently with minimal direction. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
