Job Summary:

As the Finance Office Assistant within Finance and Facilities Department, individuals in this role will support the smooth daily operations of the Finance Office. This position involves special projects, vendor relations, payment batching and requires data entry and strong communication skills. Students will gain valuable experience in administrative tasks within a fast-paced environment. This role is designed to enhance students' career readiness skills in preparation for their transition into the workforce while contributing to strengthen service, leadership, and campus culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable (A/P) by checking mailboxes, opening and scanning invoices
  • Ensure data accuracy through meticulous data entry tasks.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for efficient document retrieval.
  • Enhance recordkeeping by imaging receipts and invoices.
  • Prepare deposits for receipting by opening, imaging, and routing checks to the correct deposit queue(s).
  • Link paid vouchers for streamlined financial processing and assign appropriate departments/groups to
  • vouchers lacking designations.
  • Prepare envelopes for outgoing mail.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail are essential
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
  • Prolonged sitting

Position Pay: $15/hr

Hours per week: 10 hrs

Start Date: 08/24/2026

End Date: 05/08/2027
