POSITION OVERVIEW
As an
Executive Director, Patient Care Critical Care Services (RN) your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Lead patient care strategies across Critical Care services, including ICU, ICU Step Down, and Neuroscience units.
- Develop and execute strategic goals to improve quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and ensure adherence to best practices, policies, and protocols.
- Optimize nursing productivity, patient flow, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
- Develop initiatives to improve patient outcomes, care processes, and cost effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development for nursing and patient care staff.
- Oversee recruitment, training, retention, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and ensure effective use of resources.
- Analyze financial and operational data to support cost-effective decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Executive Director, Patient Care Critical Care Services (RN) who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal
Executive Director, Patient Care Critical Care Services (RN) would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, ideally within critical care services.
- Master's degree in Nursing required; DNP preferred.
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain a Maryland license.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Clinical nursing experience in Critical Care, including ICU or ICU Step Down.
- Nursing leadership experience at the manager or director level.
- Strong knowledge of clinical processes, patient safety, and regulatory requirements.
