SoHo Sushi is looking for a reliable, hard-working Bilingual Dishwasher (English/Spanish) to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will play a vital role in maintaining strict health and safety standards, keeping dishware and specialized sushi utensils clean and prepped, and bridging communication between our front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Key Responsibilities / Responsabilidades Principales

Dishwashing & Sanitation / Lavado y Sanitización: Wash, rinse, and sanitize plates, glassware, silverware, cutting boards, pots, pans, and sushi prep tools efficiently using commercial dishwashers and hand-washing stations.

Kitchen Maintenance / Mantenimiento de la Cocina: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized dish pit, work area, and trash/recycling stations throughout the shift.

Bilingual Communication / Comunicación Bilingüe: Assist in clear, effective communication between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking team members during busy service hours.

Support Tasks / Apoyo General: Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks, food safety protocols, and restocking stations as needed.

Safety & Storage / Seguridad y Almacenamiento: Safely handle chemical cleaning agents, follow proper chemical safety guidelines, and ensure dry storage areas remain organized.

Qualifications & Skills / Requisitos y Habilidades

Language / Idioma: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal) required.

Experience / Experiencia: Prior kitchen or dishwashing experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred, but willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic.

Physical Demands / Exigencias Físicas: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a warm environment, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Availability / Disponibilidad: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Authorization / Autorización: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
