Director of Wound Care for our Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care Network

Compensation: $170,000 - $210,000 Annual Salary

A growing national provider network is hiring a NURSE PRACTITIONER to serve as its DIRECTOR OF WOUND CARE, leading the wound care service line across Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Kansas, and other states. We are offering COMPETITIVE PAY with AMAZING BENEFITS and true CLINICAL LEADERSHIP.

Position Description

The Director of Wound Care is the clinical and operational leader of the wound care service line. This is a hands on clinical leadership role. You maintain your own competency in advanced wound procedures, provide direct oversight and mentorship to a team of wound care nurse practitioners, set the clinical protocols and quality standards, and own the service line's growth and KPI performance across partnered skilled nursing, assisted living, and long term care facilities. The role combines regular field travel to partnered facilities with dedicated time for strategy, KPI review, and cross functional leadership.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted NP license in Kentucky, West Virginia, or Ohio; multi-state licensure strongly preferred
• Board certification in wound care (WCC, CWCN, CWS, or equivalent)
• Five plus years of wound care experience, including hands on debridement and skin graft procedures
• Two to three years in a clinical leadership or supervisory role overseeing other clinicians
• Wound care experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, or long term care, with working knowledge of CMS documentation and billing for advanced wound procedures

Responsibilities:

• Maintain competency and provide direct oversight of advanced wound procedures, including debridement and skin graft application
• Establish and enforce clinical protocols for wound assessment, staging, treatment, and escalation
• Mentor and supervise the wound care nurse practitioner team and serve as the clinical escalation point for facility partners
• Own the service line's KPI dashboard across clinical outcomes, procedure volume, documentation, and financial performance
• Lead growth of wound care coverage into new facilities and represent the service line in quarterly business reviews
