Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours per week, 4:1 patient ratio. Weekend coverage required. Float assignments within the organization as needed.

• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Patient population includes adolescents and adults with diverse medical-surgical and progressive care needs
• Excellent opportunity to develop skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, and advanced clinical procedures
• Travel assignment with full credentialing and compliance support provided

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, IMC, or DOU experience
• Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, central line care, arterial line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, wound management, blood product administration, and IV insulin protocols
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; charge nurse acceptable for second reference
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Former employees eligible if separated from this organization for 6 months or more
