The right candidate will have:
3+ years of past sales experience in a hotel setting
Previous Hilton and/or Marriott experience is a plus
Previous experience with multiple property sales
Knowledge of hotel operations
Knowledge of Microsoft Word; Excel; Outlook
Experience with hotel reservation and revenue management systems
Ability to complete in-person sales visits to clients
Understanding of how to improve local negotiated account business
Our Director of Sales will:
Analyze market and accordingly create marketing plan to drive group business and ADR
Work to ensure property reaches budget/revenue goals
Articulate sales performance to corporate office and general manager
Communicate effectively to staff on sales clients, groups, VIP guests, etc.
Call new prospects drive business new and repeat business
Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts
Develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts to maintain and increase our market share
Maintain consistent and timely verbal and written communication with clients
Assist in developing an annual sales and marketing plan
Identify marketing strategy for each market segment
Analyze historical, current and future hotel trends, and market trends
Create selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue to meet/exceed sales goals.
