    Direct Reports: Claims Managers 
    Location: Jacksonville Office
    Position type: Full-Time
    Normal Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
    FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried

    What You'll Do
    As our Director of Claims, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership to teams responsible for delivering exceptional claims outcomes. You'll lead Claims Managers and their teams with a focus on severity control, expense management, quality, compliance, and customer service while helping shape strategies that strengthen the overall Claims organization. As a member of the Senior Claims Leadership Team, you'll work closely with other leaders across Olympus to drive consistency, develop talent, and ensure our claims practices reflect our commitment to Service, Simplicity, and Accountability.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    Lead Claims Performance
    • Provide leadership and oversight for specialized Claims teams, which may include Daily, CAT, Litigation, Operations, and SIU.
    • Take ownership of team inventory, work product, quality, severity, expenses, and overall performance.
    • Use metrics and scorecards to monitor results, identify opportunities, and drive performance.
    Develop High-Performing Teams
    • Lead and develop Claims Managers and their teams through coaching, performance management, and ongoing staff development.
    • Support recruiting, staffing, training, and quality assurance efforts to build strong and effective Claims teams.
    Drive Consistency & Quality
    • Partner with Senior Claims Leadership and other departments to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality claims practices.
    • Participate in and lead Claims committees focused on policy language, coverage interpretation, reserves, and settlement authority.
    Support Claims Strategy
    • Develop and implement tactical and strategic initiatives that strengthen claims performance, customer service, and operational effectiveness.
    • Collaborate across the organization to support broader Claims and company objectives.
     
    What You'll Bring
    • 10+ years of Personal Lines claims experience.
    • 5+ years of claims management experience.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred.
    • CPCU, AIC, or similar industry designation preferred.
    • Strong claims leadership and technical expertise.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience managing performance through metrics and scorecards.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
