In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and team members while providing essential administrative support that helps our departments deliver outstanding care.

What You'll Do

Every day brings something new! As a Department Assistant, you'll:

  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and route messages accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to your assigned department.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating departmental activities.
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in computer systems.
  • Help manage department mail and correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times.
  • Support teammates with a variety of projects and daily tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, coworkers, and community partners.

We're looking for someone who brings both professionalism and a passion for helping others.

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six months of work experience.
  • Experience in an office or administrative setting preferred.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills; Microsoft Word and Windows experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
